Si è appena svolto in diretta streaming l’annuncio delle nomination dei Game Awards 2022, una delle cerimonie di premiazione più attese e popolari – se non la più popolare – in ambito videoludico; ad annunciare i candidati è stato Geoff Keighley in quanto ideatore e storico presentatore della serata. A eleggere i vincitori saranno i voti di una giuria specializzata e degli utenti stessi, che potranno dare la loro opinione sul sito ufficiale o su Discord; si avrà tempo per farlo fino al giorno della cerimonia, che si terrà l’8 dicembre 2022.

La novità principale è costituita dall’introduzione di una nuova categoria, ossia quella per il miglior adattamento televisivo o cinematografico di un gioco o una serie di giochi. Keighley assicura che non si tratterà dell’unica sorpresa in serbo per gli spettatori della cerimonia; del resto sappiamo ormai molto bene che oltre a premiare i giochi usciti quest’anno, nel corso di serate come questa verranno annunciati o pubblicizzati giochi non ancora sul mercato. Non resta che attendere qualche settimana per saperne di più.
